Caving project with beloved DNS cadets

Assalamualaikum, and good day !!

What a wonderful day Dns 20 class is going for the caving activity at gua Batu Maloi….
Before we start our journey we would like to thank our project advisor Maam Hanim, our leader for this project Akmal Razak and all class 20 Alpha members. Without them this project won't succeed. Special thanks to Maam Hanim who made all the efforts to make this project happen. Caving was  chosen because it is different from all other outdoor activities. In addition Gua Batu Maloi have its own history. The cave is formed by the
natural granite rocks arrangement. Interesting isn’t it??

On the that remarkable day, the bus moved from ALAM at 0645 hrs to Gua Batu Maloi, Johol, Negeri Sembilan accommodating 40 caderts. It took 1 hour and fifteen minute to reach there. As we reached there all of us were kind of blur because the bus driver stopped us by the road side, then he asked us to continue by feet into the base camp. It was like torturing us from the beginning. After ten minutes of walking we were welcomed by the guiders. We didn't expect such nice welcoming from them and were so comfortable because of that even though we were a bit scared at the beginning. We wait for about half an hour at the base camp to let one more team to come. All our faces were bright of happiness and excitement, wondering what is going to happen inside the cave.

About 0900 hrs in the morning, we had a briefing from one of the guiders. He told us to help each other regardless of the nationality, color or size and establish good communication along the journey in the cave. Then he asked us to do stretching to warm up our body before do this activity. Mr Motoma from 20 Bravo leaded the session. Then followed by a Doa'a. After that we followed a river passage to the entrance of the cave. All of us were very excited. But at the entrance most of us were shocked that there was a small hole and the guider went inside it. Hahaha ! unfortunately no pictures taken for that moment.
Everything was good until Gua Kelawar, but then we split into two group. Because the passage is not meant for everybody. Few of us stuck at some points due to their body size. Not to mention anybody. Opppssss~ . then we managed to gather again at Gua Batu Kapal. There the guider told us the history of the stone.

The formation of the rock made its look like it is a sail ship. They told us that is the Maloi’s ship to ran away from the village but we only could see is the rock. Such is an interesting actually because we got to know new things. Our journey became more and more challenging as we moved ahead. There were waterfalls that we have to climb up through them, more small holes need us to go through it in order to go to the other side and at some points we need to dive in a water flow between rocks. Adding to that. it was dark inside the cave which made us more stressful and the important thing there is no other way.
Yet we continued our journey until we reached Gua Lakaran Maloi. There we could see a sketch believed drawn by the drop of water. Another interesting history we had. There we took a break about 15 minutes, because some of us were already tired, some said that they can't continue. Fortunately, everybody tried to give morale support and helping each other. Not far from there, we reached another checkpoint which was a nice place for taking rest. We did headcount to ensure everybody is present and also we checked if anybody have serious so far no serious injury. It is essential to always ensure that everybody is safe and present because in that kind of place anything could happen.Although we were still tired we had to continue our journey. Another small hole at the entrance, we could see some stressed up face. Yet we have to overcome our feelings and went through the hole to another adventure ahead. JYEAAHHH !

More waterfalls, stronger water flows but no more small hole. Yet quite adventure for all of us. The climax is the curtain waterfall were we need to climb up to the finishing point.

but our journey not ends there.

Jungle trekking about 2 km to reach the starting point, although it was a usual jungle trekking but due to slippery route some of felt down. We helped our friend by guiding them safer place to step on. Communication established as good as we were in the cave.As we reached the base camp we enjoyed the most delicious chicken rice in the world, hmm or maybe our stomachs  were empty hehehehe. Then we prepared for going back to ALAM. Huhuhu~

At the end of the day we found that everybody were very happy, satisfied, know something new and some of them asking for another trip there. Here I got some feedback from our friends.

Ebrahim : caving is different from all other adventures. Walking underground strange formations of the rocks is another world it is only for brave people need full of patience, relaxing and team work to solve the mysterious facing you between the darkness ahead of you.
Khairil : We cannot move ourself alone but when we in a group we can acomplish the mission to pass through every each of the obstacle. Team work can make the impossible things becam possible.
Shahril Asyraf : Individual commitment to a group effort.that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.
Khairul : But somehow we managed to go out of the cave safely with just a little bruise here and there. This is sure a lifetime experience and for some people, they don't want that experience again. A lot of good deed / leadership trait that we can make an example and apply it in real life situation.
Visnur : caving wasn't good experience for some of us due to difficulty in passing from small holes and some get injury due to slippery ground but with team work we manage to support each other watching each other back and leaving no one behind
Shobban : This only succeed because of each and everyone's ego was put aside. They know when to lead and when to follow others. If everyone wanted to be a leader it would have been a chaos inside the cave and none of us would have come out. Knowing when to step up and step down, everyone showed a good trait of leadership.
Ali : Was a great opportunity to experience such adventure that has improved our personalities in different perspectives especially cooperation between the members and the leaders apart from the cooperation between the members themselves this can be seen clearly when each individual passing through the very narrow caves associated with diving will make sure the person behind can pass and assist him if needed. This also can give us an indication of our capabilities that we may have underestimated previously and we can say that we can do hard tasks in the future and nothing is impossible.
Kavilan : Those caving activity was a memorable one and in deed it was a challenging one. This activity should be always continue in the same number of group so that we can get some fun as it involve our help.
Abdassalam: It was an extraordinary experience. dumping all the stress before finals. having a wonderful time with friends and being closer to each other in a memorial event.

I hope you guys enjoy with our posts, do not hesitate to put any comment below…past this message to other let them try this kind of challenge its once in life experience..till we meet again !

Last but not least pray and wish best of luck for all of us sitting in our final exam and MARDEP oral examination. We do appreciate it.
It challenge us in physical and mental which we have to walk under strange formations of rock.

I'm Muhammad Mubassyir Bin Sanuri incharge of food for this caving. It was a quiet tough and good experience. First i need to discuss with our supervisor Ma'am Hanim then need to follow up with student affair department about the food. With help from the friend, our supervisor and student affair commitment it make all the things become easier. We took 40 bottle of mineral water and energetic drink, 100plus and buns from the galley. We bring all of this food to the Gua Batu Malui ajd distribute them to all of us. I'm really great that all of us show a good team work.

I am Shobanraj and I was given the task to find headlamp and battery in an affordable price. So here is what I went through during the process of finding and buying those batteries and headlamps.
After I was told that I need to buy headlamp, I start to find the headlamp online and we found a few options in Shopee and Lazada. After some time, we found a good headlamp which is affordable in Shopee, it is written that it is waterproof, and we ordered 25 pair of headlamps (the max amount that the guy had at that moment). after ordering and paying the money, we waited for the seller to send the headlamps. It was written that they would be shipping it out in 1 day, but we had to wait for 3 days before the seller ship it out.
Meanwhile I try to find for other headlamps which is like the one we order and found 3 sellers. I asked them if they can ship it out in 2 days and they replied that it will take 3to4 days max. hoping that they will ship it out on the 4th day, I paid and wait for them to ship it out from china. The 25 headlamps seller meanwhile message me on the shipment day saying that he has only 16 headlamps and ask if I still need them.
Due to consequences I had to agree and asked him to ship out. On the day of the shipment of headlamp from china, I messaged the seller, but he says he need more time which we don’t have. As soon as possible I cancelled the order and ordered from new seller. To be on the safe side, I ordered from 2 sellers and paid using my own money for the other seller. The two new china sellers said they can ship it out in 2 days but even after 1 week they never ship it out.
After struggling a lot, I and Akmal came to a plan where we buy the remaining headlamps in shop. Both of us start looking for battery and headlamp at a low price, and Akmal found headlamps with shortage of 5 headlamps. The remaining 5 headlamps was bought from DIY and to avoid people complaining, I choose 5 people who can understand the situation where they need to pay a little extra money. Everything happens smoothly, and we had to find for battery at low price to make sure we can buy it within our budget and get a good battery too.
Finally, I went to DIY again to buy battery and managed to buy it within the budget. I managed to buy it a day before the caving and distribute it at the night before that caving.
