Organisational Goal- Influence

Good day everyone,
In this blog entry I would like to discuss about my opinion regarding one of the Organizational Goal which is Influence. 

First of all let we get it clear what is leadership?

Leadership is both a research area and a practical skill encompassing the ability of an individual or organization to "lead" or guide other individuals, teams, or entire organizations. Leadership require lifetime learning in order to get better day by day.There will always be a room for improving our leadership skills, style,communication and way to achieve goal.

 An organization  is an entity comprising multiple people, such as an institution or an association, that has a particular purpose while goal define as a measurable end result having certain objective to be achieved within a particular time frame.
An observable and measurable end result having one or more objectives to be achieved within a more or less fixed timeframe.

As a mariner that will work at sea after graduating from academy, the work environment that we will face require us to work as a team.Back to our main topic for today, we are going to discuss about the Influence effect in team to achieve organizational goal.


 The ability to influence the leadership skills of your team members in order to meet organizational demands is a complex element of the overall leadership development picture. Leaders are tasked with effectively guiding organizational goal achievement, while considering team member skills necessary to produce the desired output.


A focus on balancing talent development with organizational goal achievement will place the company on a trajectory of achieving performance success. Motivating team members toward goal achievement is no small task. Essentially, leaders should reflect behaviours that inspire and motivate people to change.
Though motivation factors vary across an organization, there are many leadership qualities common to successful leaders. Leadership qualities that influence goal achievement include the ability to create a clear vision, the ability to understand organizational culture, the ability to focus on performance development, and the ability to encourage innovation.

Now i would like to discuss the above point in more detail
Clear vision-The leader is the middle man between the company and the work force. Stating the clear vision of company to the work force clearly will result in achieving the main goal.

Ability to understand organisational culture-The output of certain work require a proper plan, also a considerable and realistic time frame. Considering human element in an organisational work by the leader will influence the work force to achieve the main objective with better quality.

Ability to focus on performance development- The leader should be able to increase the performance of the work force. "Over the course of an eight-hour workday, the average employee works for about three hours – two hours and 53 minutes, to be more precise." Increasing performance development also can be achieved by proper training, encouragement and break after certain period of work.

Ability to encourage innovation- To influence the work force for the better output, the leader should give the encouragement to the work force.Balancing the authority and assertiveness of the leadership style will influence the work force to give feedback and innovation.

As conclusion,the leader is the man who is between the company and the workforce.Achieving company goal and be considerable to the work force.There is always a room of improvement of the final output.Influencing people is one of a good leadership aspect in order to achieve organisational goal!
