ITS Y E M E N

I've expressed my thoughts through this platform. I've started the first blog during our first class with our best lecturer mam Hanim. My first topic was about anger, and my last would be about my most beloved place Yemen.

Republic of Yemen, or Yemen, is a country located southwest of the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia. It has an area of ​​about 555,000 kilometers square. It has a population of 26,687,000 citizen. Yemen is bordered to the north by Saudi Arabia and to the east by Oman, with a southern coast on the Arabian Sea and a western coast on the Red Sea.

The history of ancient Yemen dates back to the late 2nd century B.C, where the Kingdom of Sheba, Maeen, Qataban, Hadramout and Hemiar were responsible for the development of one of the earliest known alphabets in the world, Almusnad. The number of texts, writings and archaeological evidence in Yemen are more than in the rest of the Arabian Peninsula , was named by the Roman happy Yemen.

Yemen's economy relies on oil and gas resources. Historically, Yemen was an agricultural country and depended on the revenues of its sea lanes and ports.

Naming,

There are several theories behind the naming of Yemen and the first documentary texts discovered so far, which refer to this name dating back to the third century BD and came Yama'ant or Yamant in the Heiarian era.

- Yemen is derived from any blessing, which is the opposite of pessimism.

- It was also said that was called Yemen because it was to the right of Kaaba.

- It was said that it was attributed to Yemen ibn Qahtan and they said that Qahtan Abu al-Yemen also said that Qahtan has another name which is Yemen.

Weather Terrain, Yemen consists of five geographic regions: 

1. Coast: it extends from Tihama through the southern coasts of the country in Aden, Hadhramout and Mahra. This region includes several hills and mountains, including the plains of Tihama, Abyan, Mif'a and the eastern coastal plain in the province of Al-Mahra. 

2. Mountain Highland: It is the largest geographical region of Yemen, extending from the far northwestern border of the country to the south-eastern border. The top of these peaks is Mount Nabi Shu'ayb
3. mountains: This region is characterized by basins and mountain plains in its highlands and most of them are located in the eastern side of the region, where water is abundant from the far north to the far south and pass through the Yarim, Dhamar, Ma'abar, Sanaa, Amran and Saada. 
4. Highlands, located to the east and north of the mountainous highlands and parallel to them, but it widens more towards the Empty Quarter and the nature of this desert desert region is abandoned by some valleys and is divided into two western plateau and the highest altitude of about 1300 m and the eastern plateau of the Hadramout plateau in turn divided into northern and southern Because of Wadi Hadramout, which separates them. 

5. Desert: A sandy area with almost no vegetation except for the rain streams and includes parts of the desert of the Empty Quarter.

The atmosphere is hot and the humidity is high in coastal areas and mild in mountainous, dry and hot areas in the eastern regions of the country 


West Coast: The temperature reaches 54 ° C during summer and 35 ° C in winter.

Southern coast: 37 ° C in summer and 25 in winter Rainfall not exceeding 100 mm per year and not exceeding 10 days per year 

Highlands: Enjoy a mild climate most days of the year,

The Republic of Yemen is administratively divided under the local authority system into 21 governorates in addition to the Archipelago of Socotra.
