The person I admire the most

The person I admire the most is Oprah Winfrey which I was raised since I was little watching her well known show “ Oprah Winfrey Show “. She is a great influencer and have achieved a lot and still. Let’s talk about her life since the beginning. she was born to a single unmarried mother that was working as house maid and her biological father was a coal miner. she travelled with her mother after birth to north state and lived in rural side and was so poor that she used to wear dressed made of potatoes sack causing other children to make fun of her. Her grandmother used to call her the preacher for her great ability to recite the bible verses. At age of six she travelled to another city with her mother and at that time her mother gave birth for first sister named her as Patricia who died in 2003 because of cocaine addiction. Her mother had financial issues to raise both daughters and thus sent Oprah to Nashville and while Winfrey there her mother gave a birth to a second half-sister named her as Patricia too which was put on for adoption that Winfrey never knew that she have a second sister until 2010. By the time she moved back with her mother which gave birth to a boy who died in 89 due to AIDS related causes. Winfrey suffered from sexual abuse by her cousin, uncle and a family though when she discussed this later with her family she wasn’t believed. because of the sexual abuse she ran away from home at age of 13. at age 14 she become a pregnant but her son was prematurely and died shortly after he was born.

. She began attending Lincoln high school and after success In a local program she moved to another high school. she stated that she was poor that she rode the bus to the school with servant of her classmate families and she was stealing money from her mother to keep up with her rich friends. her mother sent her again to Nashville again and there she joined a local high school and become an honor student and later she won oratory that secured her a full scholarship and I personally believe that Winfrey’s life started to change to the better. she worked for several radio stations and local TV channels and she was the first black female news anchor on Nashville WLAC TV. she was relocated to Chicago to host a show which was low-rated but after Winfrey took over it became the show rating became the highest. A movie critic convinced her to sign a syndication with a production company because he predicted that he she would bring 40 times revenue as much of his show at The Movies which was renamed later as Oprah Winfrey Show and was number one daytime talk show

in 93 she had an interview with Mikael Jackson and it was the most watched interview ever and the audience exceeded 36 million. This interview took place before the accusations of child-molestation

One of Winfrey’s shows all the audience got a free car that contributed in changing the vast majority life of them. The funny thing that day paramedics were standing by in case any of the audience has suffered from shock

Winfrey is the first black women to be a billionaire and the richest African American women as well and she was the only one to qualify for Forbes’ 2009 list of the world’s 20 most powerful billionaires.
The “Oprah’s Child Predator Watch List,” which was initiated by Winfrey’s in 2013 helped a lot in many cases to track down the children molesters. she was awarded by the president Barack Obama the Presidential medal of freedom and this award is the highest civilian honor to be given.
Even though I didn’t cover most of her achievements in this blog but I summarized her important life stages which justify my choice for writing about her because she suffered a lot at the beginning and by struggling very hard in life until she became one of the most powerful women in the United States
