I was not physically fit as well and having a height of 173 cm and weight of 75 kg.
I was recently being introduced to an exercise, designed on my own, that is, simply doing push ups.
I am not professional in workout, but is currently in a regimentation field which prioritise fitness. I realise of being physically not healthy is not a good way to last, so decided for a change.
I have surveyed and realised that HIIT, as compared to cardio exercise, is superior for person like me, who has lack of time, lack of exercise, lack of energy level, lack of body shape as well as lack of equipments for exercise.
Basically, I started 2 months ago with doing push ups, initially 3 sets x 12 reps. At the end of 2 months I was able to perform 10 sets of 50 reps, with 4 min rest between each reps.
I will explain what is HIIT vs cardio.
Cardio exercise is, achieving a steady state of exercise over a prolonged period of time, to have a target of consuming adequate amount of caloric burns.
Eg: running at a constant speed, taking enough of oxygen to maintain the exercise, and keep on going for 30 min, 1 hr or even longer.
HIIT, stands for high intensity interval training, as the name suggests, high intensity workout is performed, utilising maximum body output, while taking fix amount of rest in between, and repeating the high intensity workout followed by rest, and so on.
Eg: sprint for 30 sec, slow walk for 4 min, sprint for 30 sec, slow walk for 4 min, continue the cycle for 30 min or more.
Which is superior?
I prefer the HIIT
I modified it to push ups variation, where i do 50 reps followed by a pause, and repeating it
for a 10 set, 50 reps each, 4 min in between, came out to be 36 min workout a day which was more than adequate.
Advantages of HIIT:
1. Shorter time, anytime anywhere: I can perform it at any moment of time.
2. Effective: In term of physically fit, caloric burn, this is better than cardio exercises.
3. Interesting: You dont have to spend hours of your time working out at the gym. Instead you could just train like a beast for 30 minutes.
4. It doesnt require a gym
5. Burn more fat in less time.
6. Keeps your blood sugar level in check.
Disadvantages of HIIT:

Disadvantages of HIIT:
1. Techniques of use: Some people tend to maximise their
physical ability which can cause injury to
them
if the workouts were not conducted properly.
2. Difficulty: It is challenging to perform, especially
during initial period of time.
To conclude everything, I would say that High Intensity
Interval Training is the latest and best form of training for fast and big
improvement.
